Gerry Linan has over a decade of experience as an attorney in the Rio Grand Valley who fluently speaks Spanish. During that time span he has acquired broad experience in civil litigation such as personal injury, business entities, construction and foreclosure and represented clients in complex Federal and State criminal cases, including appeals to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. In the area of family law he has represented clients in divorce, child custody, child support, visitation modification, enforcement of child support and visitation orders, guardianships and name changes.

He has represented clients in consumer bankruptcy in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies including litigation of objections to discharge and other litigation core proceedings in bankruptcy court.

Mr. Linan has represented clients in immigration court. In cancellation of deportation proceedings and bond hearings as well as in family based adjustment of status as well as pursuant to the Violence Against Women Act. He has also represented clients in the processing of employment based applications such as H1-B.

He has also represented partnerships and corporations and their board of directors and is experienced entity formation such as organizing articles, bylaws, buy/sell Agreements and employment contracts.
